Preschool Paraprofessional

Glen Ullin Public School is looking for a preschool paraprofessional. The days will typically be Tuesday through Thursday plus two Mondays. The hours are 7:45-3:30.

 

Duties include:

● Get materials and equipment ready to help teachers prepare for class.
● Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one and in small groups with students.
● Supervise students during lunch or recess, as well as in between classes or on field trips.
● Assist students who need additional help learning a specific concept.

k-12 counselor

The Glen Ullin Public School is seeking a K-12 Music Counselor.  The base salary for this position is $43,500 and benefits follow the Collaborated Bargaining Agreement. 

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

 Provides individual and group counseling for students.
 Provides academic counseling for students.
 Initiates referrals in child study/special programs, as well as being a resource person in teams of school personnel.
 Demonstrate leadership through the development and implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program.
 Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, other school staff, and education stakeholders for student achievement and success.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

 Plans a balanced music program and organizes daily class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time.
 Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
 Communicates with parents on student progress and behavior.
 Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs.

 Creating a classroom environment of respect and rapport which establishes a culture for learning.
 Using question and discussion techniques
 Reflecting on teaching as well as grow and develop professionally
 Strong understanding and application of mentoring and coaching best practices, skills, and strategies
